At the start of 2017, most audiences probably had no clue who Tiffany Haddish was. By the time the ball dropped for 2018, the name Tiffany Haddish had already become a household name. That’s because this once-struggling comic had what many up-and-coming Hollywood talents yearn for, a breakout year. In just one year, Haddish had her own comedy special on Showtime, starred in the uber-hilarious comedy Girls Trip, and even hosted one of the funniest episodes of SNL to date. So, by the time she hit the stage at 90th Academy Awards and professed her desire for Meryl Streep to be her mom (for one day) we were already hooked on the latest success story.
In 2018, Haddish’s star will continue to rise as she co-stars with Kevin Hart, the man who once gave her all the money he had on him ($300) when she was living out of her car, in the new comedy Night School.
It’s only the first trailer but it’s easy to see that the chemistry between these two is going to be something special to watch. Also, considering the fact that Malcolm D. Lee, the director of Girls Trip, is helming this project, there’s little doubt that Night School will be another smash-hit comedy for Haddish, Hart, and Universal Pictures.
Night School releases September 28, 2018!
