Hulu and Marvel team up for new live action shows ‘Ghost Rider’ and ‘Helstrom’

At the HULU ’19 Presentation today in Madison Square Garden, Hulu executives took the stage to announce some upcoming shows for the streaming service. In a partnership with Marvel TV, 2 all-new Live action shows will make its way to the streaming service and will debut in 2020. And those shows just happen to be Marvel’s Ghost Rider and Marvel’s Helstrom.

“Marvel’s Ghost Rider, also known as Robbie Reyes (Gabriel Luna, yes he’s back), is a quintessential antihero, consumed by hellfire and supernaturally bound to a demon. Reyes lives on the Texas/Mexico border and when he unleashes the Rider, Robbie brings vengeance for the innocents he encounters, but struggles to control the power he wields. Marvel’s Ghost Rider is executive produced by Ingrid Escajeda, who will serve as showrunner, Paul Zbyszewski and Marvel’s Jeph Loeb.”


“Daimon (Son of Satan in the comics) and Ana Helstrom (Satana in the comics) are the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer in Marvel’s Helstrom. The siblings have a complicated dynamic as they track down the terrorizing worst of humanity — each with their attitude and skills. Marvel’s Helstrom is executive produced by Paul Zbyszewski, who will serve as showrunner and Marvel’s Jeph Loeb.”

These two shows will join an already impressive lineup of Marvel shows. Marvel’s Runaways which has been renewed for a 3rd season. Four new animated shows, announced in Feb, based on: Marvel’s Howard the Duck, Marvel’s Hit-Monkey, Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., & Marvel’s Tigra and Dazzler. The characters from these shows will team up for an animated special “The Offenders.
