Legend of Korra Taken off the Air Due to Low Ratings

The news came suddenly as SDCC is to officially start today. While fans of both Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra make the annual once-a-year pilgrimage to visit with the creators first-hand, it seems this visit may include a mild case of Brown Coat rage.

Co-creator Bryan Konietzko asks fans to not panic or get upset and that all will be explained at the Avatar/Korra panel scheduled for this Friday. On his Tumbler page, is posted the following image.

While the third season is showing promise to be the best one date, low ratings have caused the network to pull the show from its schedule according to IGN. Episode 8 The Terror Within will air as scheduled this Friday at 8:00 PM ET/PT, however all episodes to air on August 1st and 8th have been pulled.

The third season is complete and it is just a matter of time if or when the remaining episodes will pair. Nickelodeon has ordered a fourth season but like Clone Wars, it may end up being available exclusively on Netflix. That itself may not be a bad thing but as Konietzko alluded to, all will be discussed at the panel this Friday.
