As the Star Wars universe continues to grow on Disney+, there’s news that a new series is in the works from Russian Doll co-creator Leslye Headland.

In an exclusive report broken by Variety, it’s been reported that Leslye Headland is developing a new Star Wars series that will air on Disney+. As expected, the details of this series are heavily under wraps but it is believed to be a female-led series that could be taking place in an era that hasn’t been covered before. Headland is believed to be attached as both a writer and showrunner for the nascent series.

Headland’s past work includes Russian Doll, Bachelorette, Assistance, and the 2014 remake of About Last Night.

There’s currently no mention of when this show might come to Disney+ nor any hint as to what casting might look like.
