Marvel/Disney are changing things up for the next Disney Plus series, Loki. It’ll now hit a little bit earlier and debut on a new day of the week.
If you’ve been looking forward to watching Loki next month, your wait just got a couple days shorter. Marvel has announced the series will now premiere on June 9th (Wednesday) and subsequently will release on each following Wednesday after that:
Obviously this is a departure from the normal Friday premieres that WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier have established. Considering the WEALTH of new content coming to the streaming service, however, with new Star Wars shows as well, it makes sense for them to start changing things up. Either way, I’m still hyped.
Marvel Studios’ “Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs “Loki,” and Michael Waldron is head writer.
Loki premiers on June 9, 2021.
