Maxim Baldry Joins Cast of Amazon’s ‘Lord of the Rings’ Series

The cast of Amazon’s Lord of the Rings series has grown by one, as Maxim Baldry joins the fledgling series.

Details of the Lord of the Rings series remain scarce, aside from knowing that it will be set in the Second Age of Middle-earth. One thing we do know is that Maxim Baldry has been added to the cast as originally reported by Collider, joining Markella Kavenagh and Will Poulter in as-yet-unknown roles on the series. Baldry has previously starred in Years and Years and Hollyoaks.

The pilot episode is set to be directed by J.A. Bayona, director of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and apart from that any other details remain tightly under wraps. Hopefully we’ll hear more casting details, like the names and roles of certain characters, before too much longer.
