Netflix Iron Fist has its Showrunner

Iron Fist Comics 853287

For those of you not in the loop Iron Fist is the story of Danny Rand expert martial arts fighter created back in 1974. He traveled to a land known as K’Lun L’un and trained to become the best and upon defeating a dragon inherited the power of the Iron Fist marked by a dragon tattoo on his chest and the power of strikes powered by explosive directed chi.

Now Scott Buck has previously worked on Dexter, Everybody Loves Raymond and Six Feet Under so his experience is vast. The official description straight from Netflix says.

“Returning to New York City after being missing for years, Daniel Rand fights             against  the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.”

So while we still haven’t cast for the show yet that seems like the next logical step. With Luke Cage in production we can hope that maybe this time next year we’ll be binge watching Iron Fist with Defenders on the horizon. We’ve already seen a few clues establishing K’un L’un, the dragon design and a person with great martial arts skill in Wai Ching Ho potaryal of Madame Gao so we’re not totally in the dark. Netflix and Marvel, making this comic guy’s dreams come true.
