Lucasfilm has released a new trailer for Star Wars: The Bad Batch, offering a glimpse of old friends and new stories.
If you didn’t get enough Star Wars awesomeness yesterday between the Kenobi casting, our own exclusive book excerpt, and The High Republic audio drama, then you’re in luck! This morning brings a new trailer for The Bad Batch, as well as an interesting detail about it’s upcoming premier.
Apparently, the show will kick off on May 4th (as we already knew) with a 70-MINUTE premiere episode! That’s a freaking mini-movie before it goes to normal episodes on May 7th. Holy crap:
I was already all in on this show, but this is a damn fine trailer. On top of see Captain Rex and even Saw Gerrera, we get this intriguing new character from Kamino who seems like she’ll play an important overall role. I’m very, very ready for this show.
“Star Wars: The Bad Batch” follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in “The Clone Wars”) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch—a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army—each possess a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.
“Star Wars: The Bad Batch” is executive produced by Dave Filoni (“The Mandalorian,” “Star Wars: The Clone Wars”), Athena Portillo (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” “Star Wars Rebels”), Brad Rau (“Star Wars Rebels,” “Star Wars Resistance”) and Jennifer Corbett (“Star Wars Resistance,” “NCIS”) with Carrie Beck (“The Mandalorian,” “Star Wars Rebels”) as co-executive producer and Josh Rimes as producer (“Star Wars Resistance”). Rau is also serving as supervising director with Corbett as head writer.
Star Wars: The Bad Batch debuts on Disney Plus on May 4th.
