The latest trailer for The Witcher reveals our best look yet at Geralt of Rivia, as played by Henry Cavill, as well as confirming when the series will arrive on Netflix.
Ever since it was revealed that Netflix would be adapting the story of The Witcher, the Internet has been buzzing. This latest trailer for the Netflix series will do absolutely nothing to quell that buzz, as it looks absolutely amazing. We get our best look yet at what the adventures of Geralt of Rivia will look like, and for those familiar with The Witcher 3, it’s like watching the video game come to life.
This trailer brings up a point I hadn’t thought about, and that’s how Geralt himself is received by the regular, everyday people. Being a Witcher means he’s not quite human, so though he fights to destroy evil, Geralt is also considered evil by many.
The Witcher trailer also confirms that the Netflix series will arrive on December 20, 2019, giving us just under two months to wait to see the adventures of the Witcher brought to life.
The Witcher follows the story of Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, who struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.
