So just how do The Walking Dead writers manage to captivate audiences and whip them into a frenzy in 4 minutes and 27 seconds flat? What’s their secret? Well AMC has the winning formula and that’s why The Walking Dead is still going strong and deadheaded into a fourth season. Let’s discuss before we get to the goods.
With a mystery peril dead ahead, things are looking grim reaper for Rick and the gang. We’ve been foolishly lulled into believing Officer Friendly and his ragtag crew of zombie-combat-hardened-survivalists are omnipotent and immune to zombie eating habits. I mean the Walkers are brain dead, right? What could possibly go wrong?
Lots. And there in lies the magic. Anything could happen. Daryl Dixon could get eaten. No! Carl could stage a coup and take control from Rick. Rick and Michonne could get in the car for a little one on one. And apocalypse forbid, if something should pick the hardy group off one by one and the original die hard survivors are gone, fan love for the Dead will live on.
So , here it is. Four and almost a half minutes of glorious Dead-dom. Watch and be afraid. And if after you somehow don’t think this trailer rocks it off the Richter scale you are either not a Dead fan, or you don’t have a pulse. Seeing is believing so check this ish out.
Did you see that trailer? Was that not deadly? Were you entertained? If you know TWD like I do, and we know you do, then you will be compelled to agree with this bold statement. The power of the writing compels you. Yes, the writing is that good. Sunday dinners just aren’t the same anymore.
Sunday used to be a boring night. But with a show that just won’t quit giving Deadheads what they yen for, Sunday night is the best night of the week. Crazy zombie vs. dinner death matches, scenes that don’t just tear apart and devour the envelope but also make you go, “Oh hell no!”, “Whaaaat?!?”, and “No, no, no, no, ahhh! I can’t look.”, “Damn! That was cold.”, and my personal favorite, “Damn, Carl is one cold mofo.” As a fellow Dead fan I ask the rhetorical question. What’s not to love?
The Season 4 premiere of AMC’s The Walking Dead does the zombie shuffle onto your TV Sunday, October 13th, 2013. Be there or be eaten.
You didn’t think I’d miss a chance to slip a pic of Daryl Dixon in a post did you? Nah, you know me better than that.
