The Writers for the Agent Carter TV Series Talk About What Viewers Can Expect of the Show

Hayley Atwell was such a scene-stealer in Captain America: the First Avenger that she is getting a pilot for a TV series that will depict her adventures as a founding member of SHIELD in 1946. Agent Carter will take place following the events of the short film attached to the Iron Man 3 DVD.

The writers of the pilot, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, have been discussing the plans for the show. In an interview with Collider, the writing duo say that they have been in regular contact with Atwell, who is very enthusiastic about the project. The show will most likely run for 13 episodes, and be set in 1946.

“That’s how this is envisioned, maybe even less,” They say, regarding the number of episodes. “It would be a limited series and you would wrap up that one bad guy and that one case, and then if you like it, we’ll do it again next year and it’s 1947.”

The series has not been officially green-lit yet, and they are awaiting word from ABC to see if this 1940s companion piece to Agents of SHIELD will reach the small screen.
