We All Float in the First Trailer for Stephen King’s IT

I’ve never been a big fan of horror movies, but I’m very much a Stephen King fan.  As such, I’ve been eager to see how the new IT movie would look (though I was hoping to see a Dark Tower trailer first).  This morning we all get our chance to see some of the film in action thanks to the first trailer:

Much of this trailer feels like it’s all about setting the tone, and frankly…that’s a good thing.  Fans of the book and the old TV mini-series have been eager to see how this version would compare, so setting up the creepy vibe is exactly what they needed to do.  Color me intrigued.

When children begin to disappear in the town of Derry, Maine, a group of young kids are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

IT hits theaters on September 8, 2017.
