Wonder Woman has been a huge success for Warner Bros. and the DCEU in general, marking the franchise’s most critically praised film to date, and is holding on to the box office better than ANY other superhero film in the last 15 years. It’s already on track to be the Summer’s biggest success, and that’s saying a lot.
As such, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the studios are going to bring us a sequel, and they even teased it during their SDCC opening presentation with a quick logo. While some were expecting a formal release date to be announced during their Hall H panel, we had to wait a few more days to get it.
WB announced that Wonder Woman 2 is set to release on December 13, 2019. WB marked this release date, and one for February 14, 2020 last week without telling us what films would be attached to them. Now we know Wonder Woman 2 has the first spot, but the Valentine’s Day one is still up for speculation. Either way, it’s exciting to have a firm date on when Diana will grace the screen again (aside from her Justice League appearance this November).
