Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby’s, the writers behind the first Ironman, are signed to pen the script for the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot. Beyond Ironman they also have a new movie titles Cowboys and Indians coming out this July. Cowboys and Indians is directed by Jon Favreau and stars Harrison Ford and Daniel Craig. So of course they know what its like to work on high caliber projects.
So far it is also looking good as they seem to have a sense of what the games are all about. “We are thrilled to be working with Graham King and his formidable team — and we aim to write an origin story for Lara Croft that solidifies her place alongside Ellen Ripley and Sarah Connor in the pantheon of great female action heroes,” Fergus and Hawk stated. So at least they are not taking the game of Uncharted and turning it into a family drama.
Sarcastic comments aside, we cannot wait to see this film. So far Square Enix and Eidos, the game developers that created the franchise, are extremely excited to see what comes of it as well. So far no casting or other news has been announced.
