Aliens: Dark Descent Pre-Orders are Now Open, New Gameplay Shown to Celebrate Alien Day

Happy Alien Day! Alien Day is recognized on 4/26 every year to celebrate LV-426, the moon where the aliens were first discovered in the 1979 Ridley Scott film! To help celebrate Alien Day, Focus Entertainment has now opened Pre-orders for Aliens: Dark Descent and released a new pre-order trailer with new gameplay showcasing the Xenomorphs, threats, tactical abilities and more!

This will be the second Alien title in the last few years and is looking to be one hell of a game! Aliens: Fireteam Elite was a third-person shooter released in 2021 and was pretty fun, especially with friends, but Dark Descent looks to pump up the Alien fun just a bit more! Having the classic top down style of gameplay, heightened graphics, and super fast gameplay, I can say I’m very excited to play this game June 20th!

In Aliens: Dark Descent, the horrors and wonders of an authentic Alien narrative unfold through a cinematic campaign full of sinister secrets, iconic Xenomorphs and brand-new threats. A range of tactical abilities come into play to recruit, level up and command a squad of Colonial Marines in real-time and as one unit with intuitive controls on both keyboard & mouse and controller. Any command issued over comms is swiftly obeyed by the Marine best-equipped for the situation according to their abilities and equipment. Players will need to use their wits to navigate expansive, persistent and reactive levels. However, each marines’ vitals should be monitored cautiously — for death is permanent. Alien: Dark Descent launches June 20th for Playstation, Xbox, and PC!
