Today, ubisoft showed the first gameplay and reveal trailer for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The game will be set in fifth century BC during the Peloponnesian War, this was the war between the Spartans and Athenians. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey seems to have taken a lot from its predecessor Assassin’s Creed Origins.
The gameplay seems pretty similar to the previous title, about the graphics are definitely more enhanced. Origins was a beautiful and breathtaking game, just to see that they have enhance the graphics even more in Odyssey really excites me for what we will see title.
Ubisoft has given the players the power of choice with an all-new interactive dialogue system. This system will give you the chance of having a different experience in other players. Depending on the choices you make, it is said that the game’s world, characters, and story can possibly change. This is a pretty exciting change for the Assassin’s Creed series and I hope that it sticks around.
We will also see the return of player customization, open world naval combat, and the highly intense on ground combat, built from the ground up Assassin’s Creed Origins. There is also a new addition of massive battles in-game. You will see these battle on land and sea, making the game more in-depth and realistic than ever. Not only was Ancient Greece breathtaking in said trailers, there was more than just the environment to be excited about.
When talking to MattQuadC after he exited the Ubisoft press conference he had stated, “The game was beautiful. The Greek blood that flows through my veins just started racing during that Assassins Creed Odyssey trailer. I have to say the dialect was spot on.” This reveal was pretty huge for Matt, due to the fact his family comes from Greece.
Lastly, you can play the games as either Alexios or Kasdandra. You are a mercenary that was sentenced to death by your own family. As the outcast, you must try to uncover the mystery first civilizations lineage and become a legendary warrior of the ancient greek times.
The Gold Edition will include the base game, pass, and allows players 3 day early access to the game starting October 2nd. In the deluxe edition, you will receive navel packs, gear packs, extra missions, xP boosts and Drachma boost.
There is also a Collector’s Edition for 149.99, you will get all of the content featured in Gold Edition, and a 9 inch tall Kasdandra figurine. I think we can all say that we are excited to see what Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has to offer. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will launc on October 5th for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
