As soon as the first trailer hit at E3 2017, Dragon Ball FighterZ jumped to the top of everyone’s video game wishlist. With an over-the-top anime art style mixed with moments ripped from the Dragon Ball series, it’s a small wonder why fans (that includes us) would be so pumped about this game. The only unfortunate part of its reveal was us twiddling our thumbs trying to figure out WHEN we’d be able to play it. Until today.
Bandai Namco has finally revealed that we’ll be able to get our hands on the new Dragon Ball fighter on January 26, 2018 (not quite February), along with news that Nappa and Captain Ginyu will be joining last week’s reveal of Majin Buu and Son Gohan!
Plus, Bandai Namco revealed the intense box art for Dragon Ball FighterZ.
If you’re ready to get into the game before the January release date, you can gain early access to the Open Beta by pre-ordering the game on PS4 and Xbox One. Players will also get early access to SSGSS Goku & SSGSS Vegeta along with two exclusive lobby avatars and a Girls Stamp Pack, featuring Android 21, Android 18, and Bulma at launch.
Bandai Namco is also offering a “Season Pass” of sorts in what they’re calling the FighterZ Pass, offering players the opportunity to secure access to eight additional playable characters which will be released post-launch at a discounted price.
If you want to buy everything at once, there is the Ultimate Edition, where you’ll get the game, the FighterZ Pass, an anime music pack containing 11 songs from the DRAGON BALL anime, and a commentator voice pack.
Dragon Ball FighterZ releases on Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC on January 26, 2018!
