Rocksteady’s Dax Ginn stated that the “main story” in Batman VR will be around an hour long, but an additional 90 minutes of content will be unlocked as you play through. This comes as an interview with PressStart asked about the content.
“The core narrative is about 60 minutes in duration, however additional content is unlocked that provides about another 90 minutes of gameplay on top of that,” Ginn said. “So there are plenty of reasons to play through the game multiple times in order to see everything that we have put into it.”
In the game you take part as Batman through his eyes and Rocksteady says it defines what is like to be the Batman. The game will take moments from comics and blend it with the thrilling experiences the Arkham games are known for.
This will be the final Batman game by Rocksteady before they move on to another franchise.
Overall around 2 hours of content might not seem like a lot, but the game is only priced at $20. If anything we will be more disapointed that the experience is over when it is just getting good.
PlayStation VR releases October 13 for $399 as a stand alone unit, or $499 for the bundle that includes the mandatory PS Eye and controllers.
