When you think of Fallout, what music comes to mind? It would probably be something grim, right? Or perhaps something old-timey like “I Don’t Want To Set The World On Fire” by The Ink Spots, the tune Fallout 3 debuted with. Yet, both would be wrong. Somehow, someway, Bethesda has found the perfect single to exemplify Fallout 76 by turning to one of the greatest groups in music history, The Beach Boys, and their hit single “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” for their new Live Action Trailer!
Reclamation Day, 2102. Twenty-five years after the bombs fall, you and your fellow vault dwellers — chosen from the nation’s best and brightest — emerge into post-nuclear America. Play solo or join together as you explore, quest, build, and triumph against the wasteland’s greatest threats.
“Wouldn’t it be nice if we were older and we wouldn’t have to wait so long?” Clearly that’s talking about that even though Fallout 76 releases in just about 2 weeks, it still feels so far away. “And wouldn’t it be nice to live together in the kind of world where we belong?”. That’s definitely talking about the fact that Fallout 76 will be completely social, a first for the post-apocalyptic game. It’s crazy that in two verses they’ve exemplified Fallout 76. I challenge you to find a more fitting song.
This fun, yet bizarre (A Sloth?) live action trailer comes just as Bethesda gears up for their Fallout 76 B.E.T.A. or Break-it Early Test Application. The first one will begin October 30 at 7pm ET and will run until 11pm ET. Below is a full list of dates for the Fallout 76 B.E.T.A. testing:
