In two weeks, the Season of Dawn will conclude in Destiny 2. After rescuing Saint-14 and collecting billions of fractaline, Guardians will be moving on to the new adventures that await in Season of the Worthy. While the details of those adventures are still unraveling, Bungie did confirm that the much-desired, highly competitive PvP mode Trials of Osiris will be returning.
Destiny’s infamous 3v3 pinnacle PvP activity is returning in Season of the Worthy. The developers at Bungie discuss the significance of its return and what to expect on your quest to the Lighthouse. Favorite maps and armor return as the level of competition rises to a new height.
Among the insanely-long wish list Guardians have been requesting from Bungie, the most common request has been Trials of Osiris. It’s no surprise, either, as it’s been 3 years since the competitive mode was available. The last time Trials of Osiris event was back in August 2017.
Thankfully, though, Bungie recognized this and has been working hard to “get Trials right”. It seems from the Dev video that they’ve done quite a bit to appease most Guardians. They made positive strides by bringing back Destiny 1 maps like Cauldron, Exodus Blue, and Anomaly. Additionally, the inclusion of D1 armor that lights up on a perfect run will surely make everyone feel like the high school QB wearing his letterman down the hall.
What will truly make Guardians happy that Trials of Osiris is back will be a truly balanced experience. That’s something Bungie has been putting countless hours into lately. We’ll find out if they definitely got it right when Destiny 2: Season of the Worthy releases on March 10, 2020. The first Trials of Osiris event will take place on March 13, 2020 for Guardians who have done the necessary steps to unlock it.
