Since Destiny 2 made its triumphant debut last September, Bungie has been rolling out new and exciting weekly content and 2 major DLCs, with a 3rd on the way in Forsaken. Activision and Bungie don’t want this new DLC to be just for veteran Guardians, though. Instead, the prefer to include everyone in the fun with an all new collection that will catch new Guardians up to speed.
This is Destiny 2: Forsaken – Legendary Edition…
The Destiny 2: Forsaken – Legendary Edition will release September 4, 2018, the same day as the Forsaken DLC, and will include Destiny 2 (main campaign), Curse of Osiris DLC, Warmind DLC, and the upcoming Forsaken DLC for the same price of a standard game $59.99.
Additionally the Legendary Collection will also allow new Guardians to play Forsaken instantaneously, without having to play through all the other DLC. This is possible with the character boost Bungie is known to have, where you instantly jump from Level 0 to 30. It’s up to you get your light level up to a suitable range.
If you already own Destiny 2, Bungie and Activision will also have Destiny 2: Forsaken – Complete Collection, which includes the DLC and an Annual Pass, which is a fun way to say Season Pass. This Pass will have access to three premium content drops like The Black Armory in Winter 2018, Joker’s Wild in Spring 2019, and Penumbra in Summer 2019. The Complete Collection is set to release for $99.99, a massive rise from the Legendary Edition.
Playstatio 4 gamers will receive timed exclusive content for Forsaken, in the form of an exclusive ship, exotic weapon, armor sets, and a strike. These exclusives will be available for everyone else Fall 2019.
While we may be losing Cayde-6, we won’t be losing out on the high octane action that Destiny 2 provides when Destiny 2: Forsaken hits PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 4, 2018.
