Call of Duty Companion App Announced, Out for iOS and Adriod Today

Today, Activision announced a companion app for Call of Duty. This companion app is out now for iOS / Andriod and connects your Call of Duty profile for Black Ops 4 and Call of Duty: World War II in one hub. In this hub, you can look at your friend’s progression and accomplishments as well as their battle stats. The app will also let you and 20 other players form a squad to earn in-game exclusive rewards and real-life rewards from companies like KontrolFreek.

I think this is a really cool add-on to the app usage. Obviously, adding players the ability to win real-life merch is a great selling point, especially when it is a free app!   The app will also give you a personalized match report of each match you play in Call of Duty Black Ops 4, including, Blackout, Multiplayer, Zombies, as well as the Call of Duty: World War II Multiplayer and War Mode.

The main tab in this app that I will be using, a lot, is the News Tab. There have been a handful of times that I miss out on in-game events because of my schedule and it really sucks missing out on said in-game rewards. Using this news tab, I will be able to keep up to date on all the latest Call of Duty events, updates, and more. I did try and link my account to the app, but at this time the app seems to not be working on Andriod. I will try and get a bit more of an in-depth view on the app and share my thoughts on the next episode of The 2nd Opinion Podcast
