Capcom Announces Mega Man 11 During 30th Anniversary Celebration

For 3 decades now, Mega Man has been THE character at Capcom that has brought the most joy to their fans, as well as pay for a lot mortgages in the process.  In turn, Capcom has tried to honor Mega Man in many different ways.  They’ve inserted him into various fighting games, given him his own Legacy Collection, and today had a livestream in his honor.  It was during this livestream that they made the monumental announcement that Mega Man would get another game in 2018!

Here is the teaser for, the surprisingly gorgeous, Mega Man 11!

As you can see from the trailer, Mega Man 11 will be in that classic 2D side-scrolling format, we’ve grown accustomed to.  Unlike its predecessors, though, Capcom has thoroughly updated the graphics using a 2.5D design direction introducing beautiful, completely hand-drawn characters and environments.  The result is a truly beautiful-looking side-scrolling that few have been able to achieve.

Mega Man 11 will be available Late 2018 on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.

However, that wasn’t the only news they announced.  Throughout 2018, possibly leading up to Mega Man 11’s release, Capcom will release the Mega Man Legacy Collections 1 & 2 on Nintendo Switch, allowing gamers to re-experience the games that started them all.  These games will now include a Rewind feature that will allow players to go back and correct past mistakes.  That function will be included on Legacy Collections owned on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Additionally, Capcom will continue their campaign to make 2018 the year of Mega Man by releasing all 8 games in the Mega Man X series on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4, and PC during the Summer of 2018.

2018 will be a celebration unlike any other for a character unlike any other.
