You already checked out the announcement trailer, but the new gameplay trailer gives us a full taste of what to expect.
NeverRealm revaled the new gameplay during their live Twitch broadcast of the ESL Mortal Kombat X Pro League Season 3 Finals. It showcases some of the characters we have already seen in the game, plus new characters such as Gorilla Grodd, Atrocitus, and Supergirl.
For those that don’t know much about the game:
In development by award-winning NetherRealm Studios, Injustice 2 features a massive roster of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains and allows players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favorite DC characters. The game will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2017.
An interesting aspect of the trailer is how grusome the characters are to each other. We see Batman shoot Superman, and even Aquaman feed someone to a shark! The game also features some of the armor that was showcased in the announcement of the game, but it is still not explained in how that will be fully utilized. After all, what could Superman need armor for?
Also showcased is the return of level transitions that the first game did really well. We see characters get blasted through walls or trams and a full transition to a new level. Director of the game Ed Boon said the roster will be more robust than the first game and be filled with a lot of surprises. We can expect more this week during E3.
