The free update hits all platforms today and adds some new PVP and cosmetic options.
The colosseum doors finally open in Elden Ring today where players can meet up for PVP battles with different rules in each arena. The doors can be found in Limgrave, Caelid and Leyndell, each one has a specific set of rules and trials.
Limgrave will include two modes: United Combat and Combat Ordeal. The united mode will create two teams that go head-to-head battling each other, players will be able to fight to the death but have the ability to respawn. Each time a player respawns the opposing team is granted a point. At the end of the match the team with the most points wins. Combat Ordeal is very similar, but it is a free for all mode with no teams.
Royal Colosseum, located in Leyndell, will include dual mode where 2 players will team up against 2 other plays and battle it out. This mode does no include respawns, the team that outlasts the other wins the match.
Caelid Colosseum will include all the modes, but this one allows players to summon spirit ashes to fight by their side as well.
All modes will have public matches to fight or join up with random people, or you will also be able to create password protected matches to meetup with friends.
For cosmetic, there are 5 new hair styles added to the game as well.
