UPDATE: Dark Souls III Gets a North American Release Window

UPDATE: The game has an official release window in North America and South America of April 2016.

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. today announced the release date for DARK SOULS™ III, their highly anticipated action role-playing game from famed Japanese developer FROMSOFTWARE. DARK SOULS III will be available throughout North America and South America in April 2016 for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One®, and PC via STEAM®. DARK SOULS III provides players with an all-new world filled with heinous enemies, hidden secrets, and captivating environments as they search to destroy the awakened Lords of Cinder and discover what has happened to this apocalyptic land.

The official website of Dark Souls has revealed that the release date for Dark Souls 3 is March 24, 2016. That is at least for Japan. The release date is listed for both Xbox One and PS4.

Currently the only other official word we got was “Early 2016” and that still seems to stand for other regions as the site does not mention anything other than the japan release. The developers have noted than a release date for other regions will come “in the coming days.”

However some good news also exists in the packaging for the Japanese release. It will come with a special map and soundtrack, but again no word if this packaging will hit elsewhere.

Other notes do include that a PC edition of the game will be announced soon too.

That is not all. A “Network Test” is also taking place October 16-18. You can sign up to take part in the test via the official site.

Whew, it seems October is going to be extremely exciting for fans of all games!
