Details revealed about Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection

Sony dropped a new trailer for the remastered Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection today to celebrate pre-orders opening and provided a little insight into the updates coming to the franchise on the PlayStation 5.

The remastered collection will have three graphics modes to choose from:

  • Fidelity Mode – For those of you who have a 4K display and want super sharp resolution above all else to enjoy the stunning environments and details the Uncharted series is known for, select Fidelity Mode and play in native 4K resolution with a 30fps target framerate.
  • Performance Mode – Performance Mode targets a 60 FPS frame rate.
  • Performance+ Mode – If you’re all about the smoothest gameplay possible and don’t mind a resolution drop, try out our first ever Performance+ Mode which targets 120fps* at a 1080p resolution.

Loads times are reportedly nearly instant “so you can jump into the action faster than Nate or Chloe can draw their weapons (which, if you’ve seen Chloe take on a band of mercenaries before, is pretty fast),” Annabelle Hua, brand marketing manager at SIE, said in a blog post.

Players will be able to take advantage of Spatial 3D Audio which allows for more immersion in the ambiance of the game and can give an added edge in combat by giving a hint as to which direction shots are fired from.

The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will cost $49.99. Pre-orders opened today.

Any gamers that have purchased any of the PlayStation 4 Uncharted Titles that include Uncharted 4, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and the Digital bundle that includes them both, will be able to upgrade to the remastered collection for $10. The upgrade will be available starting on January 28.

Physical copy owners must insert the disc into PlayStation 5 consoles in order to access the remastered collection and PlayStation 4 game disc owners who buy the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition disc-free console will not be able to get the PlayStation 5 version for the discounted price.

PlayStation Plus members who claimed Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End via their PlayStation Plus subscription are not eligible for the upgrade.

PC players are in luck! The game is heading to Steam and the Epic Game Store. More details on the PC launch will be revealed in 2022.

Players who purchase upgrade to The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection by February 3, 2022, at 11:59 P.M. will receive a voucher for an Uncharted movie ticket. Players must be a resident of Australia, New Zealand, the U.K., or U.S.
