Apparently, Diablo III is coming to the Nintendo Switch. It’s something that’s been rumored in the works for a while, but now it’s finally happening and will be launching this year. Of course, we’re still not supposed to know this, as the official reveal is set for tomorrow (I believe), but Forbes accidentally posted their coverage on it a bit early.
The article has been pulled already, but the information is already out there. The game will be called the Eternal Collection and will combine the core game with the Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer expansions. Moreso, this port will include some Nintendo themed in-game, bonuses, like Gannondorf armor from Legend of Zelda.
The game will also have multiplayer that can be tackled in a couple different ways. You can do co-op play with four people on the same system/screen, or four-player co-op on four separate Nintendo Switch’s (without needing an internet connection), or fully online co-op play. While the article doesn’t give any specifics on a release date, perhaps the official reveal will bring that info. Either way it’s nice to see some confirmation (albeit a bit early) that it’s coming, and I can’t wait to lose hours playing this on the go.
