E3 2019 Press Conference Schedule

Believe it or not, we’re just a few short weeks until E3 2019 kicks off!  Inside, you’ll find when you can expect to see all the Press Conferences and even what games we project to see.

It’s almost time.  The trailers are being edited, the choreography is being made, and Phil Spencer is putting the finishing touches on his Xbox address, which no doubt includes the line “We here at Xbox believe in giving the gaming community an experience exclusive to the Xbox One family of products” about 23 times.  That’s because we’re just a month away from one of the biggest gaming events of the year, E3 2019!

E3 2019 officially opens at the LA Convention Center on Tuesday, June 11 and goes until Thursday, June 13, but it’s the days leading up to the event that really make headlines.  That’s because some of the biggest names in gaming take the stage to their big reveals, during their E3 2019 Press Conference.

Here are when you’ll be able to watch them and what we can possibly expect:

XBOX E3 2019 Briefing – June 9, 2019 at 1pm PT

With Sony bowing out of E3, this year, it’s going to be fascinating to see what Microsoft does with the spotlight.  Will they own it or will they choke under pressure?  Some would say that they need to show their next-gen console.  I disagree.  There’s plenty of time to do that later.  Instead, show us more of Halo: Infinite and other exclusive titles we can get behind.  That way, when Microsoft does show the next Xbox (XBOX Two?) we can have a proper console war on our hands.  Last note, don’t be surprised to see a lengthy trailer for Cyberpunk 2077, release date included.

Bethesda E3 2019 Showcase – June 9, 2019 at 5:30pm PT

Bethesda needs a win, badly.  They’ll likely get one soon in the form of Rage 2, but after the disaster that was Fallout 76, Bethesda is going to really need to give the gaming community something to pine over.  With Quakecon being centered around DOOM Eternal, Bethesda could wait until July to show us a lot of that.  So, that could leave us open to getting a proper reveal for their fascinating space game Starfield and maybe, just maybe, more from Elder Scrolls VI.

Ubisoft E3 2019 Press Conference – June 10, 2019 at 1pm PT

Ubisoft is typically very good at E3 presentations.  As much as we make fun of the annual Just Dance dance break, it’s usually quite good.  We’d be surprised if they don’t produce something memorable for E3 2019.  Expect to see an update for Beyond Good and Evil 2 and hopefully a release date, the reveal of Assassin’s Creed set in Viking times, and possibly an update on the mysterious space game Pioneer.  If Bethesda and Ubisoft show off space games, the argument over which interstellar game looks better will no doubt be had.

Square Enix Press Conference – June 10, 2019 at 6pm PT

Last year, Square Enix hosted their first press conference in ages, only for it to turn out to be quite the disappointment.  The reason for the poor reception was due to the fact that they didn’t give any update on the Crystal Dynamics Avengers game. Fortunately, they’ve decided to come back for Round 2 and given the finale of the current MCU phase, this could be the optimal moment to showcase the highly-anticipated Marvel game.  Furthermore, it’s been a few years since Square Enix went back to the drawing board on Final Fantasy VII: Remake.  Perhaps, we could finally see that, as well.  If they don’t do either, they could wind up being an afterthought…again.

Nintendo E3 2019 Direct

Sadly, this will be our first Nintendo Direct without the beloved Reggie Fils-Aime.  That’s ok, because we now have Doug Bowser taking his place, who has always seemed up to the task.  Nintendo definitely won’t be showing anything for Metroid, especially not after they came out and said that it didn’t meet expectations.  Instead, we could see a Direct focused heavily on Pokemon Sword and Shield, Animal Crossing, and the next fighter to join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

What games do you think we’ll see?  Let us know!  Come back to find out how you can watch these press conferences and stay tuned for all of our coverage of E3 2019!
