EA Releases 25-Minute Demo Footage for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Since a lot of the gaming community couldn’t make E3 2019, Electronic Arts is catching you up on what was missed.  Specifically, the 25-minute long demo footage of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order shown at EA Play!  Check it out here…

One of the bummers about not being able to make E3 is not being able to witness all of the exclusive content shown.  Thankfully, Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment understand this.  That’s why they’ve released the full 25-minute demo footage for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Before you watch, it is worth noting that this is Alpha footage, so there may be some characters who jump.  It’s likely those kinds of things will be fixed by launch.

Order 66 has been executed. Once, staying alive meant hiding your abilities. Now, you must embrace them. Use the Force to manipulate your environment, master lightsaber combat, explore dangerous terrain, and remain one step ahead of the Empire.

What I love about this gameplay footage is how seamless it is to go from one level to another.  Granted, this could all be the result of some stellar editing, but it still feels like one giant world.  Furthermore, the combat shown makes our hero look like an absolute badass while having to be cerebral.

From the footage we’ve seen, it looks like EA finally has a Star Wars game worth wanting on their hands.  The acting and mo-cap looks well done, the story seems intriguing enough, and the combat allows you to become a Jedi.  It all seems so similar to the Force Unleashed series, just with a lot less brooding.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 15, 2019.
