EA Sports and NFL Launch First-Ever Madden NFL Club Championship

If you follow Cinelinx as much as we know you do (because why wouldn’t you?) then you’ll know that we love us some Esports and Madden.  Heck, we even created a show about it!  Ok, maybe that’s mostly just me.  Nevertheless, this Madden season, the Madden NFL Championship Series is including a new way to break into the majors by representing your favorite team in the Madden NFL Club Championship.

As soon as Madden NFL 18 releases, tomorrow for Xbox gamers with EA Access, the Madden NFL Club Championship will begin.  It’ll start with players qualifying through Madden Ultimate Team online competition.  The better you are, the likelier you’ll get invited to tournaments at the NFL Stadium or cultural landmarks of the team you’ve chosen. Once the final 32 players are identified, one per NFL team, they will compete in the Madden NFL Club Championship Live Finals, a tournament occurring first at the Pro Bowl Experience in Orlando, FL and culminating at the Super Bowl Experience in Minneapolis, MN with the winner receiving a cash prize and two tickets to Super Bowl LII.

The Madden NFL Championship Series consists of three EA Majors.  You now know about the Madden NFL Club Championship, which will be most of the year, but there also two others, Madden NFL Classic on October 20-21 and the Madden NFL Challenge on December 15-16.

Altogether, this year’s Madden NFL Championship Series prize purse will consist of $1.15 million!

If this sounds like something you’d like to do, you’ll need to register before Madden releases on August 25, 2017.  To register, click here.

Personally, I’ve already registered so if you happen to be a member of the Texans Club, I look forward to seeing you on the gridiron soon!
