Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition Lite Let’s You Play With Friends For Free

On August 27, Square Enix will finally release the remastered edition of one of the most beloved Final Fantasy titles. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will release on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and iOS/Android mobile devices. However, there will be a way to play the game with friends without purchasing it.

When Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition releases in August, a demo of the game, called Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition Lite will also be available to download for free. Lite will allow a full caravan of 4 players to traverse the first 3 dungeons of the game.

If one person who buys the full game, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition, invites friends to play, those friends can play up to 13 dungeons for free. Furthermore, all save data will be transferred over from Lite to the full game. That way, players can continue their magical journey through the remastered game.

In addition to this news, Square Enix also announced new features and enhancements coming to Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition. Features like Quick Chat, Magic Timer, UI Improvements, New Difficulty Modes, and an Updated Soundtrack.

  • Quick Chat – new tactical commands to give easy text-based instructions to teammates during online multiplayer play.
  • Magic Timer – a new Timer mechanic, helping players to synchronise and combine their magical attacks to unleash more powerful abilities.
  • UI Improvements – Increases to material capacity limits allow for more trouble-free adventures and a mini-map has been added to the game’s UI ensuring players always have a tactical understanding of their environments.
  • Additional Difficulty Modes – after finishing the main scenario, high difficulty dungeons will be available for daring adventurers to explore, including the Mine of Cathuriges which will include powerful enemies and new challenges alike. These challenging post-game dungeons are exclusive to the full release of FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES Remastered Edition.
  • Updated Soundtrack – over 50 musical tracks have been newly-composed especially for FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES Remastered Edition by the original game’s composer, Kumi Tanioka, including newly-recorded versions of the beloved theme songs Sound of the Wind and Starry Moonlit Night.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will release on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and iOS/Android mobile devices on August 27, 2020.
