The Halo 3: ODST version in the Halo: The Master Chief Collection is finally becoming complete this summer. The official Halo twitter account revealed that the Halo 3: ODST Firefight game mode will now be part of the collection with an announcement teaser.
While it’s nothing groundbreaking or earth-shattering, the addition of Halo 3: ODST Firefight is huge to Halo fans. I, personally, remember playing countless hours of Firefight with my friends, taking on wave-after-wave of enemies to see how far we could go. I can’t remember what we ended up maxing at, but I do remember how insanely fun it was.
To those unfamiliar with Firefight, the multiplayer game mode drops players into a battleground with unlimited waves. With each wave, you face countless enemies at increasing difficulties. The mode only ends when you either quit or your entire team is dead.
While “Later this Summer” isn’t a very descriptive release date, expect to hear more when Xbox holds their next presentation in July. I wouldn’t be surprised if they release Halo 3: ODST Firefight on Halo: The Master Chief Collection on that very same day.
