Mortal Kombat 11 is getting some brand new DLC that will actually expand on the STORY this time around. This morning brings our first teaser to speculate on!
When you think of fighting games and DLC, you normally don’t consider story additions…And yet, that’s exactly what’s coming to Mortal Kombat 11. This morning, NetherRealm revealed a quick teaser for what’s coming next:
While it’s short, it’s nonetheless exciting. Shang Tsung coming back to stop Lui Kang and Raiden brings a ton of possibilities to mind, while also continuing to fiddle with the story’s timeline. We won’t have much longer to wait to see more, as the developers have promised a full reveal trailer will be arriving tomorrow.
Personally, I love that we’re getting some Story-DLC for Mortal Kombat. It’s a great way to keep fans engaged even when there isn’t a new full release on the horizon. Not to mention I have a strong feeling this will be incorporated into some new “complete” edition that will launch for the next-gen consoles.
Be sure to check back here tomorrow for the full trailer!
