Nintendo announced a slew of things last night during their latest Nintendo Direct video. One of the most exciting things, however, for retro game fans, was the reveal that they’re finally bringing the GameBoy Advance games to the Wii U’s virtual console:
Portable classics will start making their way to the Wii U Virtual Console in April, starting with fan favorites such as Metroid Fusion, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3.
So we still have to wait until April for it to happen, but it’s nice to see Nintendo really taking advantage of the possibilities offered with the Virtual Console. It’s a great idea (especially considering their back catalog of games), but until recently it seemed like they weren’t utilizing it as fully as gamers have wanted. Now we’ll just have to hope that those damn Pokemon games will finally make it to the VC as well…
What GBA games are you hoping to see in April?
