Games Done Quick Event “Flame Fatales” to Make Speedy Summer Comeback

Games Done Quick has announced the return of “Flame Fatales”, a speedrunning event that passes the baton to women and non-binary speedrunners. 

Speedrunning is the act of completing a video game in the fastest time possible. Games Done Quick has been holding speedrunning events since 2010, raising over 31 million dollars for several charities so far.

Last year a similarly named event “Fleet Fatales”, raised over $80,000 for the Malala Fund, a charity focused on campaigning for the educational rights of girls and women. 

Those interested in taking part are encouraged to send in their submissions between the 15th and 24th of July, and those looking to support these speedy-sisters in action will be able to catch the event between the 15th and 21st of August over on the Games Done Quick Twitch channel.
