The upcoming samurai game from Sucker Punch, Ghost of Tsushima, got a lengthy new trailer at The Game Awards tonight. Come in to check it out!
I’ve been very eager to see more of Sucker Punch’s latest game. I fell in love with their inFAMOUS franchise and been itching to see what they were working on. Ghost of Tsushima wasn’t what I expected them to come up with when they first revealed it back in 2017, but I was very much intrigued.
After a long wait and little new info, the developers brought an all new trailer for the game (including gameplay!) to The Game Awards tonight:
The year is 1274. Samurai warriors are the legendary defenders of Japan–until the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the island of Tsushima, wreaking havoc and conquering the local population. As one of the last surviving samurai, you rise from the ashes to fight back. But, honorable tactics won’t lead you to victory. You must move beyond your samurai traditions to forge a new way of fighting–the way of the Ghost–as you wage an unconventional war for the freedom of Japan.
While we still don’t have a firm release date on the game, tonight’s trailer did reveal Ghost of Tsushima is slated to arrive in Summer 2020. So it sounds like we don’t have that much longer to wait!
