Google Stadia Adding PUBG, EA Games, and More to the Platform

Google made some announcements regarding their online gaming service, Stadia, revealing more beloved titles and partnerships for gamers to enjoy.

Google Stadia launched back in November and had a fairly decent line-up of titles to stream from the outset…But then things got REAL quiet for a long time. Even after giving gamers two free months (to help deal with the isolation) at the beginning of the month, the silence on new titles had some gamers worried about the service.

That changes today, however, as Stadia revealed a host of new games and partnerships that will bring big titles to the service from the likes of EA and more. First up is PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which is available on Stadia starting today:

Square Enix’s retro-styled RPG, Octopath Traveler, is also available on Stadia right now:

OCTOPATH TRAVELER on Stadia brings to life the game’s unique HD-2D visuals, blending striking 2D character designs with a beautiful 3D world. The game allows players to choose from one of eight distinct characters, each with their own tales to enjoy, from journeys of self-discovery to quests for revenge. Travelers will start their adventure in a different land within the enchanting yet perilous continent of Orsterra, allowing players to steer their own journey depending on whom they choose.

In the near future of May 1st, you’ll be able to snag Rebellion’s Zombie Army 4 on Stadia, and the trailer even gives us our first glimpse at some upcoming DLC.

The year is 1946. Europe lies in ruins, torn apart by “Plan Z.” The zombie Führer has been cast into Hell but Hitler’s hordes are back for more!

Arguably, the biggest announcement today is that EA is bringing some of their games to the Stadia as well, meaning you’ll be able to play FIFA, Madden, and even Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order later this year (Fall/Winter).

“Cloud is opening up exciting new possibilities for play,” said Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts. “In partnering with Google Stadia, we have an opportunity to deliver some creative and innovative game experiences on an exciting new platform.”

“We’re thrilled to see some of Electronic Arts’ biggest hits come to the Stadia. I can’t wait to play EA SPORTS FIFA, Madden NFL, and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on my favorite screens instantly with the simple click of a button,” said Phil Harrison, GM and VP at Google.

There’s only one free month left of Stadia, so if you’ve been thinking about it, now’s a great time to check it out as you look forward to more games.
