Hideo Kojima Announces Partnership With Xbox

During the Microsoft – Bethesda Showcase, Microsoft brought a rather large icon on stage to announce a new game.

During the event Microsoft revealed a partnership with Kojima Studios on a new game. Kojima noted it was an “entirely new game he has always wanted to create.” Microsoft also notes that the partnership is to “show the power of the cloud” with a unique new experience. There wasn’t much else beyond this. No gameplay or details on what the game is were shown.

Rumors suggest that the game is the game Kojima was creating for Stadia, before being cancelled. Kojima did mention a game was cancelled last year, and the Xbox details started surfacing at the same time. According to these rumors, the game is an episode based horror title.

Other rumors have also supposedly leaked a new title from Kojima titled Overdose, which features characters from Death Stranding. These could very well be two different projects, or possibly a PSVR2 project as well.
