The Sims are going on vacation in the latest The Sims 4 Expansions, Island Living. Find out more about it within and how The Sims 4 is celebrating the LGBTQ+ community.
How often do you just feel like getting away? Leaving the hustle and bustle behind for a more relaxed, laid-back way of life? The answer is probably more often than not. As it turns out, The Sims feel the same way. So, Maxis and Electronic Arts are taking them to the beach with the announcement trailer of the new expansion, The Sims 4: Island Living.
This is the tropical island of Sulani, a place where Sims can have fun in the sun and get away from all the hustle and bustle. In The Sims 4: Island Living, players will bring their Sims to this island resort to enjoy every amenity it has to offer. Sail in a canoe, build sand castles, play with dolphins, or just kick back and relax under the sun. Sulani is yours to enjoy.
However, much like in real life, Sulani deals with a major eco-crisis. With the new conservationist career, players can be in charge of environmental clean ups to restore parts of the beach. The result will be a more lush, inviting environment for all life. If that’s not really up your alley, Island Living will also allow you take up odd jobs as a lifeguard or a fisherman.
More really cool things are coming to The Sims brand and The Sims 4, specifically. The first will impact the entire The Sims brand, as Maxis and EA have partnered with the LGBTQ+ non-profit organization, It Gets Better. The partnership will see It Gets Better apparel and items be imported into The Sims 4 (PC), The Sims FreePlay, and The Sims Mobile on June 18th (On Console in July). They’ll also include a gender-neutral bathroom. This is all in an effort to bring more awareness and make The Sims a more inclusive place to game.
The future of The Sims 4 will be bustling as two new DLCs are on the way The Sims 4 Moschino Stuff Pack and The Sims 4 Realm of Magic Game Pack. The Realm of Magic Pack is still under wraps but the Moschino Stuff Pack will see real life Moschino X The Sims Capsule Collection debut in the game for Sims to wear. There will also be a new job as a fashion photographer available. Stay tuned for more on both at a later day.
The Sims 4: Island Living arrives on PC & Mac June 21, 2019 and on Xbox One & PlayStation 4 on July 16, 2019.
