Layers Of Fears Gets June Release Date / New Trailer

The upcoming horror remaster is going to be releasing later this summer.

Bloober Team made the announcement during IGN fanfest that the remake (ish) of Layers of Fear is going to be releasing in June. No specific day was provided, but it is one year since they first announced the game. We can assume maybe a “surprise” release during E3?

Layers of Fears is a remaster of the original two games in the series, completely rebuilt using the new Unreal Engine 5. If you want to know why that gets me so excited, then check out the trailer below. The visuals look extremely realistic, and the lighting is superb. The trailer also notes that the first two games are covered with a new overarching story to combine them into one.

The game will also include a new chapter titles “The Final Note” which takes perspective of the games antagonist. Maybe if we are lucky we can get some type of PSVR2 action?
