To be honest, being this close to a new Jurassic Park film is kind of surreal to me, but we’re less than three months away, and that means marketing is going to be all over the place. One of the big tie-ins to the new film, is going to be the latest LEGO game from TT Games, in the form of LEGO Jurassic World. I was stoked when the announcement was initially made, and today’s trailer (which features our first real look at the game) has me even more excited:
One of the key things you don’t see in this trailer, is the fact that you can play as the dinosaurs and traverse the levels as them. It’s a neat idea and I can’t wait to see how that plays out. I love a lot of things about this trailer, but the humor is what always gets me in these kind of games. The irrevence and ability to make even more “adult” themed ideas, suitable for all ages appeals to me in a big way.
Following the epic storylines of Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III, as well as the highly anticipated Jurassic World, LEGO Jurassic World™ is the first videogame where players will be able to relive and experience all four Jurassic films.
Reimagined in LEGO form and told in TT Games’ signature classic LEGO humor, the thrilling adventure recreates unforgettable scenes and action sequences from the films, allowing fans to play through key moments and giving them the opportunity to fully explore the expansive grounds of Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna.
LEGO Jurassic World lands sometime this June on the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC and handhelds. Will you guys be picking it up?
