As the grand champion of Marvel Vs. Capcom around SCNS Live you better believe I was excited for the announcement of Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite. I mean we’ve been playing these games for how many years guys? I remember playing Street fighter Vs. X-Men the day they powered it up at my local arcade and my friends not believing me when I told them the next day at school. Mike Jones Executive Producer for Marvel Entertainment says”
“For the last two decades, Marvel vs. Capcom has been one of the most celebrated franchises among fans,” said Mike Jones, Executive Producer, Marvel Entertainment. “To deliver on that legacy, we’ve worked closely with Capcom to create a game that honors the heritage of the series and combines Marvel’s unique brand of storytelling with Capcom’s world-class gameplay. We’re raising the bar with Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite and are excited for players to get their hands on it next year.”
So okay the teaser trailer looks great but cinematics have never impressed but we can verify that here come some new challengers. Now previously you could only get Mega Man X as an alternate costume for Zero but now it appears that he’ll be a playable character along with Captain Marvel making her debut as well. And let me say I love Captain Marvel as a character and can’t wait to get some playtime with this fighter. Of course Ryu and Iron Man come back because what would the game be without my favorite quarter circle forward and punch fighters? And yes it appears Ultron will be our final boss for the game, good choice guys. Now the other aspect is that the Infinity Stones will be available to power up your heroes. Here’s a quick look at that gameplay trailer for now.
Now today at 5:30 PST on ESPN2 at the Capcom Cup we’ll get an extended gameplay trailer for the upcoming game expecting to release in 2017. We’ll update this article once the new trailer is released.
