Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Will Be Physical And Digital

The upcoming Metal Gear Master Collection Vol. 1 will be hitting physical outlets as well.

The Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol 1 (wow that’s a lot to say) is already live on the PlayStation Store digitally. However, if you are like me then you might be more interested in a physical release, which is now confirmed as well.

Replying to fans on Twitter, Konami confirmed that a physical and digital version of the collection will release. This was initially confirmed on the Chinese Konami social pages, but other regions have also confirmed it as well.

This is in direct contrast to Alan Wake 2 being announced as a digital only title, and fans are already not happy about that.

It’s also confirmed that the Master Collection is basically a re(re)-release of the HD collection that was originally taken off digital storefronts. The collection includes the updated releases of MGS2 and MGS3 (with slightly more content and a better camera) and of course means MG1 and MG2 are also includes as part of MGS3. It’s worth noting these are simply re-releases, original games, with no updated visuals or gameplay.

There is currently still no price on the collection, and no exact date for release.

As for us, all we can say is…it’s about time.
