Metroid Dread Brings the Series Back to Its Roots This Year

While we haven’t seen Metroid Prime 4 yet, Nintendo did reveal an all new game in the main Metroid franchise during their Direct Presentation.

I know everyone wants some sort of Metroid Prime 4 update, but there’s no denying that the NEW Metroid game they announced, Metroid Dread, looks incredible:

I love seeing it go back to the 2D style and getting to see some classic Samus action. It reminds me of that Metroid: Samus Returns remake for the 3DS which was all sorts of amazing. This should definitely help fill the gap while we wait for Prime 4.

Even better, this one has a RELEASE DATE! Metroid Dread is slated to hit Nintendo Switch on October 8, 2021.
