Micro-transactions And New Maps Hit Call of Duty: MW Remastered

Yesterday an assortment of new free maps hit Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, but the catch might be the new micro-transactions that came in the update too. Not included in the original game are the new “loot box” style unlocks which grant players additional skins, reticles, or other cosmetic items. Similar to Infinite Warfare’s Salvage, players can also craft together weapons when they collect the parts to do so.

The Supply Drops can be purchased with in-game currency earned while playing, or by purchasing them with real money.

Additional items include melee weapons such as a shovel to take down enemies.

The good news is this is the same update that introduces six new maps and female fighters all for free. The update also includes several new game modes that were introduced in later games including Gun Game. The Remaster will also be celebrating the holidays with a winter themed celebration this month.
