Minecraft: Story Mode – The Complete Adventure Arrives on Nintendo Switch This Month

While Telltale Games is about to release Episode 2 of the 2nd season of Minecraft: Story Mode, the story-centric game is gearing up to release The Complete Adventure on Nintendo Switch starting August 22, 2017 in North America and August 25, 2017 in Europe and everywhere else.

Minecraft: Story Mode – The Complete Adventure is actually a pretty good deal for those who either haven’t played the game or want to play it again on Nintendo Switch.  First of all, it’ll be available as both a digital copy or physical copy at retail.  Then, it’ll include all 8 episodes from Season 1 (5 from the original season pass and 3 bonus from the Adventure Pass).  The entire first season will be available for only $39.99, which is a bit of bargain when you consider buying each episode and the Adventure Pass.

If you haven’t played the first season, here’s what is in store.

In Minecraft: Story Mode, players embark on a perilous adventure across the Overworld, through the Nether, to the End, and beyond. While attempting to enter EnderCon and meet Gabriel the Warrior, Jesse and friends discover that something is wrong… something dreadful. Terror is unleashed, forcing Jesse to set out on a quest to find The Order of the Stone in hopes of saving the world from oblivion.

As for Season 2 of Minecraft: Story Mode, Episode 2: Giant Consequences is set to premiere August 15, 2017 on Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android devices.

Jesse and the gang survived the Sea Temple, but they brought home a little more than they bargained for: a lost adventurer, a powerful device, and a colossal enemy capable of grinding Beacontown to dust. There may be more to this fearsome foe than meets the eye, but to find out, Jesse — together with a few trusty friends — must embark on another adventure, this time into the icy unknown…

The physical version of Minecraft: Story Mode – Season Two will become available on disc this fall.  We’ll just have to wait to see if the cartridge version of that will be available at that time, as well.
