New Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Screens Show Off New Playable Characters

Bandai Namco have released several new screenshots from the upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot game to spotlight assisting and playable characters.

While the main focus of the game is obviously on Goku (Kakarot), apparently gamers and DBZ fans will be able to play around with some other characters during the primary story. The developers have revealed that Piccolo, Gohan, and Vegeta will all be playable characters in the game.

On top of that, however, you’ll also have the help of some friends in the form of the Krillin, Tien, Chiaotzu and Yamcha. These won’t be playable characters throughout the story, but instead will serve as support characters you can call in during battle. While they haven’t given any details on how to use them, I would almost imagine they’d be like “summons” in other RPG titles.

Hopefully we’ll get some more details/gameplay footage before too long, but for now we can enjoy some very pretty new screenshots.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will hit Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PCs sometime in 2020.
