New Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind DLC Trailer Reveals Price, Release Date, & FF Characters

Square Enix is set to kick off the year with a bang, when they release the first-ever Kingdom Hearts DLC, Re Mind. Check out the new trailer and information below…

As a fan of the Kingdom Hearts series, Kingdom Hearts III was a game worth waiting over a decade to play. It brought us back to familiar, expanded words and introduced us to some fresh new characters for Sora & co. interact with. However, there were a few characters missing, namely from Final Fantasy.

Square Enix plans to rectify that problem with the first-ever DLC for a Kingdom Hearts game. Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind will release on January 23, 2020 and will include a whole new episode, multiple boss battles, a Limitcut and Secret Episode, a new greeting mode, slideshow features and a new “Premium Menu” mode that includes diverse difficulty settings and gameplay challenges.

Here’s the latest trailer:

For players who have completed KINGDOM HEARTS III, the Re Mind DLC provides a new playable episode as Sora adventures to make his way back to his friends and discovers truths that he has never before imagined.

The Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind DLC will cost $29.99 by itself. For an added $10, you can get the Concert Video package (priced at $39.99), which includes all KINGDOM HEARTS III Re Mind content as well as footage from the KINGDOM HEARTS – World of Tres – Orchestra concert recorded in Osaka, Japan on November 30th, 2019.

$30 is rather high for a DLC nowadays, especially for one that isn’t for a prolonged, replayable game such as this. However, Square Enix likely sees a new episode, new voice acting for characters, and a bevy of other content as an excellent return on investment.

Regardless of if you decide to shell out the $30 or $40 to play Re Mind, Square Enix is planning on releasing a free update in January which will include a main story update, new abilities and a new form for Sora along with the addition of two of my favorite Keyblades, “Oathkeeper” and “Oblivion”.

Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind DLC will release on PlayStation 4 on January 23, 2020 and on Xbox One on February 25, 2020.
