Earlier this week, Insomniac Games revealed a new look at Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. In addition to that, they also formally introduced us to the newest heroic Lombax, Rivet. They also promised more footage of the upcoming PS5 game in a State of Play later in the week.
Today, Insomniac Games made good on the promise, returning with a 16-minute gameplay trailer that showed new environments, combat, weaponry, and so much more.
What Insomniac Games revealed to us today were the abilities to dash and wall run, which should make for some pretty awesome exploration and escape sequences. Furthermore, they showed off seamless weapon switching, which seems like it’ll be necessary with the new and unique arsenal shown. Although, what impressed me the most was the PS5’s ability to immediately switch levels without so much as a load screen. That’s simply incredible.
